5、orldwide Asia Pacific / Radisson Brand Identity & Graphic Standards Manual Section J SIGNAGE and Section G OTHER ADVERTISING / VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION The standards and procedures included within this manual provide guidance for all Radisson branded system hotels within the Asia Pacific region on the
6、 following issues:- a) New Signage Development Guideline and Approval Process b) Design Guidelines for Dual language Signage 1.1.2 Carlson Hotels Worldwide Asia Pacific Exterior Signage Standards for the signage development and approval process for Radisson Hotels and Resorts (RHR) are designed to a
7、chieve three primary goals. First, the technical specifications for manufacture ensure the highest quality fabrication virtually guaranteeing a long lasting, low maintenance signage package. Second, our process ensures a property is neither under-signed nor over-signed. Proper signage is often not g
8、iven as much attention as it should be resulting in improperly located and/or inadequate signage. Both of these conditions can seriously impact the marketability of the property. Third, the very essence of Radissons marketing communication platform is consistency. Through consistency and repetition,
9、 we build awareness and recognition. Recognition, coupled with positive trial experiences, produce on going loyalty to Radisson properties. The cornerstone of the purchase cycle, consistency of communication, cannot be achieved without stringent signage standards. 1.1.3 This Manual does not address
10、issues related to the requirements and compliance with the various codes and regulations of the different cities and countries throughout Asia Pacific. Where a government code or regulation also addresses any standard in this Manual, the property should conform to the more stringent standard, provid
11、ed compliance with the more stringent standard does not violate the government code or regulation. Exterior Signage Standards 1. The Construction and Installation Specifications section provides notice on the general approval criteria required for hote

17、els & Resorts The use of the word “hotel” throughout this manual is generic and applies to all Radisson lodging facilities in Asia Pacific region. The word “Radisson” applies to all properties under license to Carlson Hotels Worldwide Asia Pacific. 1.3 New Signage Development Guideline and Approval
18、Process It is CHWAPs expectation that each Hotel and its approved Signage Designer / Contractor / Manufacturer company will have a designated representative (s) overseeing each signage project from design to approval to fabrication / manufacture, and then to installation. This designated representat
19、ive (s) shall be known as the Signage Project Manager (SPM) and will be responsible to the hotel Owners project team to ensure the delivery of the project on time and on budget, and should advise the hotel Owner of compliance to CHWAPs standards for Radisson hotels in Asia Pacific. There are essenti
20、ally five (5) phases to the Radisson Hotels New Signage Development Guideline and Approval Process in Asia Pacific: Signage Designer / Contractor / Manufacturer / Approval Site Survey Sign Approval by CHWAP Fabrication, Manufacturing and Installation Warranty and Maintenance 1.3.1 Signage Designer /
21、 Contractor / Manufacturer Approval (allow 2 weeks) For any new external signage, including design concepts and surveys, all hotels will be required to register with CHWAP, specifically for CHWAPs approval, the proposed Signage Designer / Contractor / Manufacturer. 24、1 9250 Email: Approved Signage Designer / Contractor / Manufacturer companies are not allowed to transfer these drawings and specifications to any other entity. Custom built signs must be submitted with shop drawings (detail blue prints and/or production drawings) to CHWAP for review and approval pr
25、ior to fabrication. Existing CHWAP approved Signage Designer / Contractor / Manufacturer companies in Asia Pacific are listed in Section 4: Exhibits 4.5 and you are welcome to contact these companies directly for immediate assistance. Otherwise, CHWAP welcomes the opportunity to review other regiona
26、l Signage Designer / Contractor / Manufacturer companies for CHWAP approval, as long as hotels follow the submittal and approval process as outlined herein. CHWAP will review the submittals and will return an approval memo to record the registration authorization if approved. Once registered and app
27、roved, CHWAP will furnish to the hotels designated SPM the complete plans, drawings and detailed construction and installation specifications for all approved signs that are a part of the Radisson standard signage program, The hotels designated SPM will be responsible for issuing same directly to th
28、e approved signage designer / contractor / manufacturer company. The hotels SPM will also be responsible for managing the Design / Approval / Fabrication / Installation process and ensuring that all hotel signage design concepts are approved by CHWAP before fabrication and installation are progresse
29、d. The SPM will also be responsible for managing the Owners input and approval to the same process and to any specific Owners time and cost requirements. Exterior Signage Standards 1. 30、te Survey (allow 4 6 weeks) a) Survey Guidelines: i The hotel location should be thoroughly reviewed to determine the best possible sign program. In some cases, it is recommended that the Hotel should receive independent professional advice about the best effective way to market the property locatio
31、n with the new Radisson signage. ii Each proposed signage concept should conform with the signage standards as presented in the CHWAP Radisson Brand Identity & Graphic Standards Manual and those other standards and procedures as included herein. iii Each proposed signage concept and plan is to be re
32、viewed and approved by CHWAP prior to a signage contract being entered into for fabrication. b) What the survey includes: i A site plan of the location showing all new sign locations including setbacks and site lines and obstructions to visibility. ii Elevation drawings or a photographic rendering o
33、f all walls on which signage is being proposed or that presently have signs mounted on them (unless plans are for removal). iii An inventory of all signs currently installed, including: digital photos of all signs on site; a list of all signs that are to remain; and a list of all signs to be removed
34、. iv Checking all local ordinances and approvals. v Relevant zoning information regarding signage from the local authoritys zoning office. Commentary as to whether the standard sign packages are allowable under current sign codes and/or restrictions. vi Permit fees that are require by the local auth
35、ority and comment upon the anticipated timing for an approval from the local authority or relevant government department. vii Date the survey was conducted and name & title of hotel contact. 1.3.3 Sign Approval by CHWAP (allow 2 4 weeks) a. For the purpose of CHWAP approval, we request that you comp
36、lete the forms shown in Section 4: Exhibits Exterior Signage Standards 1. 37、gital Picture - record or computer simulation of all existing and new proposed signage survey and signage concepts which should describe the total of your proposed new external signage survey, and submit to CHWAP. b. CHWAP will review the signage concepts and will return an approval memo to allow fa
38、brication to proceed. c. A request for a waiver for variance to Radisson signage standards must be submitted by the Hotel to CHWAP with: Reason / rationale for the variance request. Architectural or photo rendering of the proposed signage in color. 1.3.4 Fabrication / Manufacturing / Installation (a
39、llow 8 10 weeks) a. The designated Signage Project Manager (SPM) will have communication lines directly to the Hotel GM and Hotel Owner during the entire fabrication and manufacturing stages. b. Fabrication for any new signage should not proceed until the hotels designated SPM has received formal ap
40、proval from CHWAP for the proposed signage concepts. c. New signage fabrications should not be deemed ready for installation until the designated SPM has advised the hotel Owners project team that any defects on the final defect punch list (prepared after inspections by the designated SPM) have been
41、 completed at the manufacturing plant and that a copy has been submitted to the Hotel with photo documentation indicating that all signs are ready to be installed. d. The designated SPM should be responsible for the selection of all installers or sub-contractors, unless otherwise specified by the Ho
42、tel and approved by CHWAP. e. CHWAP expects that all signage installations should be managed by the designated SPM with direct reporting and responsibility to the hotel Owner and project team. f. The hotel GM and Owner must give the authorization and responsibility to the designated SPM in order for
43、 the installation to be completed in a timely manner. g. Photos will be taken of all signs showing installation from primary and secondary sight lines and will be submitted to CHWAP for record and final approval. h. All installations for signs and sign locations must match the signage survey and des
44、ign concept proposals already pre-approved by CHWAP. 1.3.5 Warranty and Maintenance a. The scope of the signage warranty and any future maintenance contracts shall be the full responsibility of the hotel Owner and project team to discuss, understand and negotiate Exterior Signage Standards 1. 47、anual High Level Building Signage; Pylon Signage; Monument Signage; Vehicle Identification Signage. 2.1.2 The Dual Language standards contained herein are developed so as to conform to the appropriate local language cultural environment within those relevant countries within the Asia Pacific Region.
48、 2.1.3 The Dual Language signage guidelines contained herein are to be used in those hotels which require additional language other than just English. Those countries which CHWAP have identified to date include:- The Peoples Republic of China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Whilst CHWAP is also aware of o
49、ther legal requirements for hotels in Thailand to display in smaller letters the Thai language hotel name with the Radisson Logo building signage, CHWAP do not propose that hotels within Thailand need to use the larger sized dual language guidelines contained herein. 2.1.4 This Manual does not address issues related to the requirements of, compliance with the various codes and regulations of the different cities and countries throughout Asia Pacific.
