12、趋势？白烨：从2003年起，我开始主编中国文情报告，迄今已近10年，中国文情报告也出版了9本。总的感觉是，文学与文坛经过上世纪90年代商业大潮的冲击，以及新世纪以来网络科技的搅动，已和过去的面目大不相同了，甚至发生了结构性异动。表面上看，文学与文坛的变化表现为作者队伍扩大、作品数量激增、活动领域扩展、运作手段丰富。而文学与文坛更深层次的变化，则体现在不同的创作观念、传播动因进入文学领域，再加之出版的市场化与网络的自由性，使得一些文学类型从创作到营销再到阅读，都形成了一种文学、文化、利益共同体。而且在这种共同体的影响与侵蚀下，传统文学的机制与体制变得面目全非。现在文学与文坛的格局，可以用“三分天
13、下”来描述以文学期刊为阵地的传统型文学、以市场营销为手段的大众化文学、以网络科技为手段的新媒体文学。中国青年报：您曾指出，我们当下存在很严重的文学阅读浅俗化问题。为什么这么说？白烨：文学阅读的浅俗化，的确是现在越来越凸显的现实问题。最直观的表现，就是在网络阅读中点击量最高、在市场营销中销售量最大的作品，往往并不是最好的或比较好的文学作品，相反，很多都是生活蕴含量与艺术含量不够高的类型化作品(指在题材选择、结构方式、人物造型、审美风格等方面已经定型，读者对其有着固定的阅读期待的文学作品样式编者注)。我每年在编写中国文情报告时，都会考察两个排行榜，一个是新浪读书频道小说类图书点击量排行(前20位)
14、，一个是开卷文学类图书销售量排行(前20位)。我经过分析比较发现，这两个排行榜中的书目每年都大同小异，基本都是以玄幻、盗墓、官场、职场为主题的类型小说。就算把分析范围扩大到两个图书排行榜排名前30名的作品，基本也都是类型小说的续集，比如驻京办主任(2)，杜拉拉求职记(2)，很难见到非类型小说的身影。而且，这样的情况持续了很多年。文学阅读浅俗化会反过来诱使文学创作浅俗化中国青年报：造成文学阅读浅俗化的原因都有哪些？白烨：文学阅读之所以会陷入浅俗化的泥潭，表面上看是由于现在文学阅读的受众主要是青年群体，他们的阅读口味发生了很大变化，把实用性阅读与消遣性阅读摆在更重要的位置。然而更深层次地来看，是因
15、为许多年轻人对于文学的认知发生了巨大变化。对于现在的许多年轻人来说，文学不应该是严肃的，而应在内容上更靠近自我，在文学表达上更游戏化。从根本上来说，年轻人会形成这样的观念，与我们的文学教育不到位，尤其是整个社会的文学阅读教育不成气候有关。中国青年报：文学阅读浅俗化有危害性吗？白烨：当然有。文学阅读本质上是文学创作的终端，阅读本身就包含了接受、学习、教育等多种功能。如果文学创作的这个终端浅俗化了，那文学创作本身的意义会大打折扣，甚至可能反过来诱使文学创作本身向浅俗化方向倾斜。一旦浅俗化的文学作品大行其道，那么读者的文学欣赏层次与文化情趣就会在无形中被拉低。在这种局面下，传统文学与经典作品就会日渐
16、失去生存和发展的空间。中国青年报：首都师范大学发布的一项调查显示，在初中生、高中生和大学生群体中，郭敬明、安妮宝贝、痞子蔡等作者及其作品大受欢迎，相比之下，许多在中国现当代文学史上赫赫有名的大作家及其作品并未进入大中学生的阅读视野。看来传统文学的确在年轻人中遭遇到了生存危机。白烨：这样的文学阅读调查，我们文学所也做过，结果大同小异。不久前，新疆石河子大学中文系一些学生联合其他大学的学生，编著了一个五卷本的我的文学，对当代大学生文学爱好者所喜爱的作家和作品，进行了巡礼式的阅读与盘点性的笔谈。其中的108位作家，既包括了现代到当代的文学大家，也涵盖了大陆与港台的文学名家，而且不乏青春文学与网络文学
17、偶像作家的身影。从这份既包括鲁迅、茅盾、巴金、老舍，也包括安妮宝贝、郭敬明、雪小禅、九把刀的作家名单来看，与其说文学经典在年轻人群体中遭遇了生存危机，不如说年轻人群体在文学欣赏与选择上相当混杂。娱乐化的阅读风气使年轻人越来越远离经典中国青年报：为什么年轻人越来越不爱看经典？是年轻人的问题，还是经典本身的问题？白烨：所谓“经典”，主要指的是传统的严肃文学。严肃文学追求的是志同道合者的欣赏与交流，本来就是“小众”的。当然，这里的“小众”，不一定就是中老年群体，应该也包括一些青少年读者。越来越多青少年不喜欢“经典”，表面上看是年轻人的问题，但这其实是社会的问题，时代的问题。现在的社会文化生活中，“务
18、实性”成为时尚，“娱乐化”成为流行，正是这种风气极大地影响了青少年的阅读取向。所以，是娱乐化的阅读风气使年轻人越来越远离经典，并不是经典本身的问题。中国青年报：年轻人不爱看经典，与我们现在的语文教学有没有关系？白烨：有一定关系。语文教学的意义不仅在于教授汉语与文学的基本知识，还在于培养学生的文化修养与文学情趣。现在的语文教学，不论是在教材的编写上，还是在教学的方式上，都是一以贯之的传统做法，没有真正贴近学生的实际生活。现在许多强大的传媒机器一直在向社会传播娱乐的理念与媚俗的情趣，在这种局面下，不太贴近实际的语文教学，在培养年轻人高雅文学情趣与鉴赏能力方面所能起到的作用就非常有限。传统文学和青年
19、读者要相互靠近中国青年报：现在有两种说法：一种认为文学与年轻人离得很近，许多年轻人创作的新颖题材的文学作品在青年群体中广受追捧；另一种说法认为，文学和年轻人离得很远，现在贴近年轻人生活、反映年轻人成长的作品越来越少。以上这两种说法，您倾向于哪一种？您怎么看待当下文学与年轻人的距离？白烨：这两种说法看似不同，其实是一个问题的两个方面：一方面，一些类型文学尤其是青春文学，更切近年轻人的实际需要，无论写作还是阅读，都较容易进入，因此在青少年中广受欢迎；另一方面，传统文学的大部分作家和作品，由于与年轻人的日常生活有一定距离，因而经常为他们所不屑。传统或严肃文学与当下青年读者之间的距离不是单一方面的问题
