2、 Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) is the most commonly used serum to supplement cell culture media due to its high content of growth factors. FBS is effective in promoting and sustaining growth of vertebrate, mammalian and insect cells. Composition FBS only contains serum of high quality from defined countr
3、ies as specified. A Certificate of Analysis indicating the country of origin is available for each lot of serum. 4、rnatively, to save time, it may be thawed under controlled conditions in a water bath at 37 C, gently mixing the content from time to time. In this case it is important to closely observe the thawing process and stop when a small amount of ice is still present in the serum. After thawing the serum s
5、hould be mixed well to get an even distribution of protein and growth factors (do not shake to prevent foaming).
